Carmel Software announces that it has completed Phase I of the development of the U.S. and International version of Diamond System Builder (DSB), the equipment selection software tool for Mitsubishi Electric, U.S. (MEUS). This is a Windows-based variable refrigerant flow (VRF) equipment selection software tool that allows users to layout all models of Mitsubishi Electric indoor and outdoor units (both commercial and residential HVAC equipment), export information to PDF, Excel, XML, and AutoCAD, and also specify local and system-wide controls layouts. It performs all of the complex performance derates and checks that ensure a VRF system is properly designed within the required constraints. For example, it takes into account the relationships between all of the equipment, the ambient and indoor air conditions, piping lengths, height differences, and much more.

The U.S. version of DSB has been out since Spring of 2013, and the International version will be rolled out very soon. This version includes all outdoor and indoor unit models that are utilized in regions outside the United States including Korea, China, U.K, Turkey, and others. Also, the International version allows for Metric units and specialized regional equipment-type selections including Hybrid City-Multi and multi-distribution pipes.

The final version of DSB will be released in 2014, and it will include additional functionality such as LAN view layouts.
